Seppuku Pistols
This was more than a gig, this was a spiritual experience!
It was an honour to host Seppuku Pistols at the shop, the iconic Edo punk band started by four ex-punks in 2011. After the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant explosion they decided to use traditional Japanese instruments including taiko drums, the bell, the shamisen and shakuhachi, the bamboo flute. Their very first performance was on the line of the no-entry-zone around the nuclear power plant. Seppuku Pistols rise up against the erasure of tradition and culture continuing on from Edo period.
The last survivors of Japanese wolves using music as rebellion, this was one of the best night of my life.
